What makes The Grouse's Nest Unique?
Whisky distilleries
No trip to Scotland is complete without a taste of our single malt whiskys. Maybe a nip in a warm bar after a solid days skiing or maybe a trip to one of our amazing distilleries to truly get under the skin of this amazing drink.
Uniquely Scottish.
Your Scottish skier is not your standard skier. Expect to see hardy types skiing in tweed or even a kilt, forget long lunches on the slopes in the sunshine. More likely to huddle into the cafe for a hearty soup, a pie and a can of McEwans. This is where skiing is not an elitist sport but is for everyone and enjoyed as such.
A greener option
If you're a local, avoid leaving the country and enjoy what our island has to offer. Skiing at home is certainly a greener way to enjoy this amazing passtime.
Glenshee
Glenshee has earned the nickname ‘the 3 valleys of Scotland’ and when all lifts are running offers the largest terrain in Britain. It’s 3,504 ft of mountain adventure that beckons to skiers and boarders alike. From invitingly easy to the surprisingly steep, Glenshee offers the most extensive skiing and snowboarding in Scotland.
Cairngorm
Offering unforgettable snow sports for over 50 years, Cairngorm Mountain boasts the ultimate playground for adrenaline junkies, eager first timers and everyone in between. With 30km of pisted runs, 11 lifts, a freestyle park and on-site equipment hire, it truly offers something for everyone.
The Lecht
The smallest of all the Scottish resorts, The Lecht is tucked away in a glen alongside the legendary ‘snow road’ which runs from Cockbridge to Tomintoul. Small and community owned, the Lecht is less crowded and very friendly. The location means it’s hidden from the wind that can close Cairngorm. A sledging area immediately adjacent to the car park, and a gentle easily accessible nursery slope means it’s ideal to start children on their snow sport journey.
