It’s been 20 years since the legendary duo Jerry and Angus last shredded the Alps together—a time when they ruled the powder across the Alps and South America. After a long hiatus spent raising families, they reunited for one epic road trip to relight that fire and introduce some good piste skiers to the untamed world of off-piste powder chasing. Forget full-on touring kits and guided expeditions; this itinerary is all about a laid-back, piste skiing road trip with an off-piste twist at the most intimate, lesser-known resorts.
Day 1: Silvretta Montafon – The Essential Warm-Up
Kick off your adventure at Silvretta Montafon, where the focus is on warming up and shaking off the rust. With poor visibility setting a mellow tone, this day is all about getting your legs back in the game. It’s not the powder paradise you’re after, but it’s the perfect soft start to a week of wild, off-piste exploits.
Day 2: Gargellen – Sunshine and Secret Stashes
Next up, head to the charming small resort of Gargellen. Bask in the sunshine as you carve down a vast east-facing slope that still holds pockets of old powder—untouched by the crowds.
Day 3: St Anton & St Christoph – Chasing Fresh Powder
When fresh powder calls, answer it! Day three takes you high into St Anton and its neighboring St Christoph. Here, the mission is clear: claim your first dibs on some of the freshest freeride runs before they’re quickly skied out by the usual hordes. St Anton’s legendary nightlife blends Austrian vibes with British revelry – lively bars, awesome D.J’s and massive beer steins combine to provide unrivaled apres.
Day 4: Warth – The Hidden Gem of Untouched Tracks
Knowing that true powder chasers must search beyond the obvious, move on to Warth—part of the same linked ski area but far less crowded. The guys had the help of a friendly local, Florian, which allowed us to uncover bucket loads of untouched powder along marked off-piste itineraries. It’s always worth getting chatting to the locals, you never know what you might uncover!
Days 5 & 6: Laax – The Snowsure Sanctuary
When the fresh snow stops falling, don’t worry—the mighty Laax is ready to deliver. Over the next two days, discover why Laax is the go-to destination for snow certainty. Its vast freeride terrain means that even long after the last snowfall, you can still access untracked powder via the lift system. Picture yourself gliding under bright blue skies, enjoying expansive, well-preserved runs that keep the powder lingering just for you. It’s a two-day highlight that combines the best of off-piste adventure with the reliability of snowsure conditions.
Day 7: Laax – The Grand Finale
Finish your tour back in Laax with a day dedicated to exploring every corner of this incredible resort. Known for its cool, youthful vibe and commitment to a green agenda, Laax offers a perfect blend of modern amenities and authentic alpine charm. Spend your final day skiing mostly on piste, soaking in the atmosphere, and reflecting on an unforgettable journey—exhausted legs and all.

This 7-day itinerary is designed for those who crave the thrill of off-piste powder in the quiet, less-crowded corners of the Alps. It’s a chance to rediscover the joy of skiing off the beaten path, where fresh snow lasts longer and every turn reveals a new secret. Whether you’re a seasoned powderhound or a keen piste skier ready for a challenge, this tour invites you to embrace the adventure, the camaraderie, and the raw beauty of the mountains.
Pack your skis, gather your friends, and get ready to create your own epic powder story. After all, the best off-piste experiences are the ones that aren’t crowded—and the best memories are made on hidden slopes.
